  1. 1) The god of this age has blinded the minds…..2 Corinthians 4:4
    2) What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God 1 Corinthians 2:12
    3) In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.Ephesians 2:2
    4) But Jesus turned to his disciples and forcibly rebuked them saying: You know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. Luke 9:55

Nowhere in scripture are the disciples of Jesus taught to murder fellows in Christ for reason of disagreement. Such a conception is completely and utterly rebuked by Jesus himself. And the N.T. Apostolic ministry would be consider such an act the byproduct of Satanic deception.

It is a consistent argument, that this practice, and Calvin’s unrepentant hateful disposition within it, is to be justified under the banner of “everyone is doing it”. If that is the case, then Christian girls are justified in abortions today and Christian boys are justified in being men with men.

But Christian’s do not lower themselves to be led about by the spirit of Satan today.
And this standard is held by Jesus and the Apostles for the church in any day.

The “everyone was doing it” argument, along with Calvin’s hateful pharisaical disposition, simply proves that Calvin was more under the influence of the god of this world, then he was by the Holy Spirit.

Would you follow the teachings of David Koresh or the Rev Jim Jones?
    If not, why not?
The answer is simple: “By their fruits you shall know them”.
The only reason John Calvin is not lined up with those two in history, is because he was a political hero who represented a departure from the despotism of Catholicism.
